WATCH: Java makes it clear who he votes for in 2023

Java, who commands a huge following on social media and has a cultish followership among mainly youths, said he is impressed by President Mnangagwa and will vote for him in 2023.

CONTROVERSIAL social media influencer Passion Java has stepped on some toes after he indicated where his vote lies in the 2023 Zimbabwe general elections.

Java, who commands a huge following on social media and has a cultish followership among mainly youths, said he is impressed by President Mnangagwa and will vote for him in 2023. To justify his claim, Java posted a video of the construction projects at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare shortly before he left for the Victoria Falls.

The prophet, who last week said he took much pleasure in taunting those who disliked his choices, questioned those not convinced by Mnangagwa’s track record, asking them why they insisted he was up to good when he was developing infrastructure around the country.

Watch Java speak below:

Government in December allocated ZWL$3.8bn to complete upgrades to Robert Mugabe International Airport by 2022. However, part of the funding will come from China.

Finance and Economic Development Minister, Mthuli Ncube, said the priority was to ensure that the country complied with ICAO’s minimum requirements and those of the European Union Air Safety Committee.

He said this would ensure that Zimbabwe’s aviation sub-sector moved from category 2 to category 1, thus clearing the way for other global markets with stricter aviation regulations to fly to the country.
