Govt nurse arrested for corruptly issuing vaccination cards

The arrest led to the recovery of an assortment of medicinal drugs and equipment at the suspect’s home.

A NURSE at Marondera General Hospital has been arrested for issuing out Covid-19 vaccination cards to unvaccinated people.

Detectives swooped on Kenneth Kuneka, 35, of Marondera, on Sunday following a tip-off.

Police national spokesperson Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest, adding tha investigations were ongoing.

“The arrest led to the recovery of an assortment of medicinal drugs and equipment at the suspect’s home. Investigations are in progress,” he said.

Meanwhile, police in Marondera are investigating a case of robbery which occurred on Sunday at Montecristu plot.

Three suspects attacked a couple and stole US$15000 cash, cellphones and other belongings.

Investigations are ongoing and members of the public with information may contact nearby police. □
