LUXURY car dealership Daytona has silenced Cassper Nyovest’s haters as they confirmed that the McLaren GT 2020 model they sold is now with Nyovest who is the rightful owner.
This comes after there were claims made that Cassper was not the owner of the McLaren, and the claims caused a huge stir on social media. Nyovest and the ownership of a R5 million McLaren GT have been a bone of contention between the rapper and his critics
Cassper Nyovest‘s McLaren whip caused all kinds of rage on social media. The Tito Mboweni hitmaker has been accused of lying that he bought the McLaren GT.
The rapper raised many eyebrows when he shared an image of a white McLaren after announcing he got a black one before his birthday.
Nyovest went on to explain that while he first fell in love with the white automobile and desired it, it wasn’t accessible before his birthday. He chose the black one to commemorate his birthday with a new car.
The rapper claimed that when the white McLaren became available at Dayton Motors, he traded in his black automobile for it, and the black McLaren is now available at the same seller.
Many did not believe him and said he was just shooting photos in car dealerships for his fans to drool on. But McLaren South Africa has come to his defense saying he indeed is the rightful owner of the McLaren GT roadster.
“SOLD 2020 McLaren GT finished in special paint – Silica White with features such as Bowers and Wilkins Audio System, MSO Bright Pack and Electrochromic roof is now with its new owner,” the dealership captioned an Instagram post.
Celebrating his latest set of new wheels, Nyovest claimed he owned the streets of swag, style and fast wheels.
“We don’t run the streets, we own them!” he beamed.
“No, not first black but I’m the only person who owns the new McLaren GT in South Africa period. This information was given to me by McLaren South Africa so I dare you to show me someone else.
“Please don’t go hiding after this tweet cause we need receipts. Don’t worry, I’ll wait!!“
Whilst the star has bragged about being the only person in South Africa to own the super car, many think he is merely paying lip service.
A number of tweeps – including entertainment commentator Nota Baloyi – claim Cassper has either been paid to endorse McLaren, similarly to other stars in Mzansi.
In a growing twist to the McLaren GT model saga, a company called “Luxury Car Rentals” has alleged on their Instagram account that they have hired out their McLaren to Cassper Nyovest
The account posted an image of the white McLaren with the words “currently rented out to @casspernyovest”.
The company further alleges Cassper is “ enjoying the benefits of long term rentals option from us”.
But Cassper has rubbished the claims, inisting the company and their claims are scams trying to tarnish his name.
Responding to a tweep who posted the picture online, Cassper replied: “Lmao… You would really be an idiot to believe this rubbish…. I really hope they successfully scam people so I can laugh at them properly for believing such a clear scam.
“A car hiring company without a website, a phone number or an email. How do you reach them as a customer?”
Cassper then claimed that anyone who believed the company’s claims were fools
“Anyone with a brain can see that thing is a scam”, he added.
Whilst the company “Luxury Car Rentals” does not have an official website, it seems they operate off their Instagram account
According to their IG bio, the company’s offices are based at 74 Victoria Road in Camps Bay, Cape Town.
Their posts also reveal that they offer various luxury cars at daily prices of R5000 per day and upwards. They also reportedly offer a zero deposit car licensing fee.
However many tweeps claim the company is nothing more than a scam and are using Cassper Nyovest’s name to chase clout.
