It never rains but pours for musician Holy Ten who is still to come to terms with a flopped album he released last month.
This comes as social media users were left wondering if his girlfriend Kimberley Richard is cheating on him after pictures of her and a “mystery man” on an intimate date at one of Harare’s popular hotels went viral.
On Tuesday, pictures of Richard with a mystery man went viral on social media. In one of the pictures, Kimberley Richard is on a date with the mystery man at N1 Hotel located on the corner of Samora Machel and Rotten Row roads.
A key card for room 302 could not escape the scrutiny of eagle-eyed social media users who suggested that lunch was not the only thing on the menu.
In one of the pictures, Kimberley is hugging the mystery man which this publication has established as former University of Zimbabwe (UZ) Student Representative Council (SRC) Vice President Wilbert Muzaruwetu.
Wilbert is a member of the Zimbabwe Congress of Student Union (ZICOSU). It is not clear when the pictures of Kimberley and Wilbert were taken but the two have something in common.
During this year’s SRC elections at UZ in June, Kimberley Richard was part of the campaigning team for ZICOSU. Richard was accused of vote buying as she allegedly distributed food to students and urged them to vote for ZICOSU.
ZICOSU lost the presidency to Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) candidate Alan Chipoyi.
Despite the ZICOSU connection, the pictures of Kimberley Richard and Wilbert on an intimate date sent shockwaves across the internet with suggestions that she is cheating on Holy Ten.
However, a section of Facebook users said the pictures were from 2016 and that Wilbert Kimberley’s ex-boyfriend.
Last month, Holy Ten’s album became a flop after he released it on the same day that sungura maestro Alick Macheso was launching his album as well.
“To be honest with you, my album is very good. I, however, miscalculated and made the grave mistake of launching the album at the same time Macheso (Alick) was also launching his,” said Holy Ten last month.
“We cannot fool ourselves and try to compare some of us with the likes of Macheso. He is in a league of his own, the same league with the late Dr Oliver Mtukudzi. In comparison, we are mere kids.”
