Job Description

A leading packaging company has an exciting position for a Commercial Intern. Must be a BComm Accounting or BAcc graduate who graduated in 2022 and is available to start immediately. You will be assisting with finance, budgets, forecasting and tenders.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following outputs:

Internal processes

Assisting with establishing financial goals and objectives
Assisting in establishing the Annual Operating Budget
Keeping stock to minimum and ensuring stock outs
Ensuring that price tables are up to date
Monitoring price movement and compiling reports
Maintain record and understanding of raw material pricing
Ensure all price increases are issued timeously
Checking orders for local material and packaging and ensuring correct pricing
Overseeing the monthly management accounts and year-end audit

Finance
Assisting with forecasting models as per budget
Analyzing income statements for anomalies
Preparation of monthly reports needed for publication of income statement
Commercial

Preparation of tenders
Preparing and analyzing reports
Work closely with internal ERP (SAP) team
Maintenance of master data

Requirements

BComm Accounting qualification
Computer literacy (MS Office, Advanced EXCEL – pivot tables, data science)
Financial and costing literacy
Planning and organizing skills
Attention to Detail
Analytical thinking and effective communication
Ability to get on with people
