Western Cape Government Is Hiring: Administration Clerk- Service Delivery Integration

Job Purpose

The Department of Local Government, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to assist with the administration of the sub-directorate Thusong Programme Management. This postition is stationed in Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).


Relevant experience. A valid code B (or higher) driving license. Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

Key Performance Areas

Render project based logistical and administrative support including financial, human resource management, preparation and correspondence; Liaise with Provincial departments and all other stakeholders; Administer the database relating to projects; Proactively deal with all correspondence.


Knowledge and understanding of the following: Provincial budgetary cycle and associate processes; Expenditure control processes; Administration systems including filing and record keeping; Stakeholder Management. Skills in the following: Written and verbal communication; Proven computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Conceptual, analytical and formulation; Planning and organising; Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


R 181 599 per annum, plus 37% in lieu of service benefits (Salary level 5),
