JOB DESCRIPTION
Prepare, monitor and track manual OTC confirmations for vanilla products to identify, investigate and resolve paper-based and or OTC exceptions ensuring the accuracy and validity of the confirmation.
Overall purpose of job :
The overall purpose of the job is as follows :
Responsible for the matching of confirmations for various Treasury products.
To investigate and resolve exceptions on deals accurately and timeously.
To provide a superior level of service to customers.
Undertake any related tasks, as delegated by the Manager

4.1. Responsible for :
Ensuring the accurate matching and confirmation of all trades executed by RoA
Countries GM
Resolving outstanding items and queries efficiently and effectively.
Being aware of risks at all times and actively contributing in identifying ways to reduce such risks.
Providing an excellent level of customer service at all times.
Self development and continued learning.
4.2 Tasks
4.2.1 Daily
Investigate all exceptions.
Monitor and follow up on all outstanding confirmations.
Completing the daily checklist.
Compiling of daily and weekly stats
Updating the Derivatives confirmation register and follow up on outstanding corporate confirmations
Completing paper confirmations for structured products
Send EOD reports to countries for verification of unmatched confirmations
Previous Experience
The incumbent is expected to :
a) Have suitable knowledge / understanding of various systems used within the bank (would be an advantage)
b) Basic computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
c) Basic knowledge awareness of foreign exchange, money market and structured products (would be an advantage)
d) Good understanding of the various Swift message types used for foreign exchange and money market deals (would be an advantage)
e) Is able to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.
Minimum level of education and / or knowledge
a) Matric (Grade 12)
3 Additional preferred education / knowledge
a) Degree or tertiary level qualification in Financial Markets.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
