Job Description
The Faircape Group operates 6 high-end retirement/lifestyle villages in the Western Cape. Locations of these estates are in Noordhoek, Kirstenhof, Tokai, Somerset West and Onrus.
We are seeking a Bartender for our facility Onrus Manor in Hermanus. You will be required to only work 3 days a week.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, interacting with residents, taking orders, serving snacks, drinks, assessing bar customers needs/preferences and making recommendations
Job duties include, but is not limited to the following:
Preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and service of those drinks.
Daily, weekly and monthly stock take to be done on all stock and equipment.
Assist with normal waiter duties when required.
Set up for meal times and service.
To ensure that your designated area meets all the required hygiene standards.
Assist, when needed, for private or village events that require a bar person available.
Do daily checks on all equipment in the bar area and report inconsistencies to the Food Service Manager.
Ensure all billing of beverages and bar snacks are done correctly to resident’s accounts.
Experience and knowledge:
Proven experience as Waiter and Bartender
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of serving etiquette and basic wine knowledge
Daily rate from R 250.00. This will be a fixed rate, no tips.
