Context and environment

The jobholder is accountable for providing support in researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining prices that are market related and competitive • KPI: Specifications, competitive bidding submissions, submissions that are market related, cost reductions

Activity: Supporting project teams with detail costing and formulation of base prices for tendering strategy, fee proposal adjudications on various project.
Legal and HSEQ: Local and Group standards and standards to comply with local regulations

Candidate profile

• Qualification:

• Degree /B tech in quantity surveying or Similar • previous experience in quantity surveying • Estimating experience
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural practices & principles
• English is the working language
• Good knowledge of JBCC contract conditions

• Experience in Tender negotiations
• Good knowledge of building practices
• Analytical thinking skills
• A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
• Excellent team player

• Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports / summaries in order to convey complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people • Must be strong on budgets and spreadsheets
