MAIN PURPOSE
To deliver exceptional customer service at the till points, thereby creating a positive, lastingimpression as the customer leaves the store.

Greets, smile and acknowledge customers?
Thanks card customers by name to ensure exceptional customer service
Applies selling skills
Demonstrates an understanding of World of Difference by offering non-Woolworths cardcustomers the Woolworths loyalty card
Offers the customers available services (e.g. utility bill payments and airtime)
Processes till transactions effectively
Processes till transactions efficiently and effectively in line with till policies and procedurese.g. checks scanned price against SKU ticket (product price in FSA stores)
Scans and packs efficiently at till points and checks all payments for irregularities
Understands and promote the different methods of payment or transactions (e.g. Giftcards, World of difference cards)
Demonstrates product knowledge and standards
Knows what special events are being promoted in the store (e.g. Christmas, Mother’s Day,Valentine’s Day)Adheres to shop keeping disciplines
Maintain a hygienic, safe and well-organised till point
Minimise shrinkage
Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager orshrinkage hotline
Minimising shrinkage by adhering to all corporate store discipline
Demonstrates personal leadership
Demonstrates self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene andtime-keeping
Attends/is informed of the game plan/team meeting to know the day’s focus
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Available and flexible to work different shifts
Relevant working experience will be advantageous
