Key Job Responsibilities

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

Customer support in terms of safety, coaching mine Artisans and Helpers in achieving lowest cost per tonAttend to maintenance and production activities and must be willing to travel between mines to ensure that this is successfully done

Conduct daily pre-maintenance and inspectionsReport writing on all relevant activities on technical / operational issuesDrive productivity improvement and quality performanceUphold safety standards and good housekeeping

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum Skills and experience required

Qualified Millwright (MQA or CTC) No other trade certificate will be accepted

Grade 12/Std 10 or N3 with Maths, Science, Electrical Trade Theory, Mechanical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics and/or Engineering drawingA

n MQA accredited Millwright qualification. No other trade certificate will be acceptedFlameproof and Gas Testing certificates (MQA or CTC) No other certificates will be accepted

Driver’s license and own reliable transport
Must be computer and database literate (MS Word, Ms Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint)
Experience of JNA I and JNA II and Faceboss 2 is crucial

High level knowledge and experience of JOY machinery and Fletcher (JOY CM’s 12HM31AAA, 12 HM31B, Fletcher HDDR)

Knowledge on 7LS JNA2 Shearer will be an advantage

At least 5-years’ experience on JOY underground equipment.
