Coordinates sequences associated with the roads provision department,reading plans,contract
documents,monitoring road works and drainage,and preparing reports/sketches and necessary
Key Responsibility Areas
Co-ordinates the implementation of procedures and monitors Contractor/Teams to ensurecompliance with standards and specifications for Roads Provision.Reads plans, contract documents and supervises work, verifying work is detailed and properlyexecuted.Undertakes the preparation of all documents including reports, sketches and the amplificationof measurements.
Assists the Engineer/Technologist in the preparation of contract documentation.
Informs technical/professional personnel of issues of non-conformity or problems on site andforwards details of observations and findings to facilitate problem solving sequences.Attends site meetings with contractors and Councillors.Undertakes other projects and assignments as required.
Qualified Artisan in a related trade.Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (Code EB)3 years experience as a General Foreman or Clerk of Works in a major road construction.
Preferred Requirements .5 Years relevant experience.
