Introduction

An automotive manufacturing company in the Pretoria, Gauteng is looking for an VOME TCF Facilities Engineer.

Purpose of the Role

Responsible person will be required to plan and lead, activities in cooperation with/and under the direction of the FAE Facilities Manager (VOME), aiming at the flawless execution of the project.

Facilities engineer should develop concept, design efficient layouts, align CFT, prepare SOW for the facilities and lead the project from concept to implementation stage.

Work with regional Subject Matter Expertise in Critical facilities of Sub assembly area, tooling, manipulators, conveyors and robots.

Engage with cross-functional teams across IMG and with global counterparts, to deliver projects adhering to standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Lead; Coordinate Project, resources, equipment and information in line with project scope and definition

Liaise with contractors to clarify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.

Make certain that production, safety, maintenance, quality requirements considered from the beginning of the projects wrt. GVOSS.Prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budgetsMonitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise by following BOB.

Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants

Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans and money spendIssue all appropriate legal paperworkReport and escalate to management as needed

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

Optimization of preventive maintenance jobs based on break down analysis and findingsParticipating in regular core team meetings in line with overall project status and deadlines

Participation in project completion talks

Lead, setup and participate in cross-functional team meetingsCoordination of the final inspection and buy off.

Minimum experience & qualifications required

National diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology

Project Management experience
Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in automated plant and project management in the automation portfolio desirable
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management toolsResilience, flexibility, teamwork, cost awareness.

Behavioral skills required

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Able to elicit cooperation from a variety of resources.
Able to define scope of change requests and work with operation teams to size and plan delivery.

Able to work with a diverse team and adapt communication styles and content to appropriate audiences.
Effective communication skills to mediate disputes and uncover hidden objections or concerns.

Able to anticipate and resolve problems before they happen.
Adaptable to a flexible process structure. Comfortable with a high growth environment where individuals sometimes serve in multiple roles.
CAD knowledge (2D&3D)
