Job Advert Summary

Provide a professional, confidential, and personal secretarial and administration service to the Head: Integration, Monitoring and Evaluation and ensure the smooth running of the Integration, Monitoring and Evaluation activities, including the following activities: Secretariat and administration services, Accuracy, and speed, Typing skills, Administrative refinement skills, Confidentiality, Integrity and loyalty.

Minimum Requirements

 Matric or equivalent with a secretarial/administration/office management diploma

An advanced secretarial diploma or a recognized qualification in public relations will serve as an added advantage

 5-10 years of Senior Secretarial / Personnel Assistant experience

A valid code EB driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 test

Experience in working with the National Departments and LocaI Government.

 Knowledge of Microsoft office.

 Experience in working with the National Departments and LocaI Government.

 Good computer skills

Primary Duties

Handle administrative tasks and correspondence i.e., letters and memos, as delegated and requested by the Head: IME. Follow up on outstanding issues on behalf of the H: IME. Pass on messages and task requests as instructed, to the relevant personnel.

 Obtain approval signature from the H: IME on relevant documentation and forward to the originator.

 Set up and/or receive appointments, meetings, and function dates on behalf of the H: IME.

Ensure the smooth running of IME’s administration work i.e., correspondence and general office admin

 Support H: IME staff in meeting agreed requirements

 Provide secretariat, general and technical administration services to meet the needs associated with the integration, monitoring and evaluation function in BWS

Knowledge

 Computer Literacy in MS Office is essential with an emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage

 Typing

 Telephone etiquette

Excellent administrative skills i.e., planning
