PROJECT LEADERSHIP INTERN, GLOBAL
5TH JUNE – 25TH AUGUST 2023

Project Leadership Interns are an integral part of our global project team and work in partnership with Project Management Analysts and Project Leaders in one of our therapeutic areas including Internal Medicine, Central Nervous System, Gastroenterology, Immunology & Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Renal Metabolic, Early Clinical Development and Oncology.

Your key remit will be to support project management activities to mitigate risk, ensure control cost, manage project schedule, and ensure patient safety, data integrity and customer satisfaction on all projects.

Essential Functions

• Working with Project Management Analysts to provide Project Leaders with accurate data to support better decision-making on cost, schedule, scope and quality

• Prepare correspondence, project status reports and presentation materials for project team and customer meetings

• Taking /preparing of global Project team meeting minutes

• Support the coordination of project schedules

• Support the risk and issue management process

• Support relevant sections of Project Management Plans

• Support core file reviews • Introduction to finance management, including monthly expenses, invoices and reconciliation as well as Vendor and Purchase Order (PO) Management process

• Gain an understanding and support on the maintenance of project baseline and change control processes

• Gain an understanding of managing performance dashboards

• Listen, consult with others and communicate proactively with Project Management Analyst/Project Leader and others within the cross functional teams

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Final year graduate, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD; preference given to Life Sciences, Project Management, Data Analytics, Systems Engineering and Finance or relevant education or training

• A self-starter who works pro-actively and takes ownership of tasks

• An interest in life sciences, clinical research and/or patient health

• An interest in Project Management

• Evidence of effective problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

• Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language to function within a professional work environment
