Job Purpose

Liaise between clients and the insurance company and finding the client the best insurance cover.

Education and Qualification Requirements

Minimum education (essential)

RE 5
Minimum education (desirable)

120 FAIS credits
Minimum applicable experience (years)

5 years
Required nature of experience

Prior experience working as a Broker

Short term insurance industryExperience working with Goods in Transit and HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicle) insurance.

Underwriting experience would be beneficial.
Skills and Knowledge (desirable)

Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Valid driver’s license and road worthy vehicle.
Extroverted and outgoing personality
Driven and self-assured.

Duties and Responsibilities

Properly conduct, improve, extend, develop and protect the business and interests of the company.Discussing and assessing clients’ current and future insurance needs.Renewing or amending existing policies for clients

Building relationships with clients
Assist with claims administration
Negotiating deals with clients.

Analyzing data and market trends.
Demonstrating a solid understanding of the company’s products or services.
Networking to attract potential clients.
Undertaking general administrative tasks.


Market related (Includes a laptop, cell phone, company car)
