Role purpose:
To conduct maintenance and to remedy breakdowns in the fields of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics, control, measurement, coding, and inspection. To maintain (inspect and adjust) and repair equipment proactively as per maintenance targets to continually improve department efficiency, to optimize equipment availability and to minimize losses and risk.
Safety, Health, and Environment:
Ensure a safe working environment where all legal requirements are met in socially responsible manner.
Ensure compliance with acts and procedures.
Use PPE.
Ensure correct storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous substances.
Report incidents.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
Participate in team risk management processes.
Ensure the department operates within company SHE standards and OHS Act, through continued education and training and obtaining the co-operation and commitment of all staff to observe all safety rules, procedures, and processes to drive zero accident mentality.
Responsibilities:
To perform activities in the fields of control engineering, measuring and control as well as electrical and other mechanical/technical activities in accordance with the applicable standards, regulations, and instructions.
To ensure optimum cooperation within Maintenance department and with the production departments.
To transfer knowledge to the production departments.
To optimize maintenance activities.
To deploy the maintenance personnel reporting effectively and efficiently to him.
