Job Specification (not totally inclusive)
Prepare month-end journals and reporting integrating to the financial system. (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g expense claims, overtime, leave balances, head count, and month end reports);
Responsible for the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for approximately 500+ employees on the payroll system (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, terminations, overtime, travel reimbursement, salary advances etc.);
Payroll review before submission to performance leader for approval;
Capturing of SARS information of E-filing (e.g. monthly EMP20’1, IRP5’s and tax directives);
Preparation of monthly 3rd party payments as per relevant deadlines; and
Develop and maintain appropriate payroll processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Minimum Skills required
Relevant Payroll/Finance qualification or equivalent;5 Years experience of working in a similar role (500+ employees) with different contract arrangements in a multi-site environment;At least 3 Years experience of Sage People 300 system is essential;
Working knowledge of appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements is needed;Computer literate in MS office suit (advanced excel); and Must have own car and valid driver’s license.Behavioral Competencies required
