Job Description:
You will also be responsible for:
Development of standards and COP
Short range operational unit planning
Facilitate accident investigations
Carry out statutory inspections (30, 25, 90 days)
Compile safety reports
Check compliance to safety systems
Check corrective action status
This role will be within the SHE Department at a D1 level and will report to the Chief Safety Officer
Qualifications:
National Diploma in Safety Management (essential)
Engineering trade certificate (essential)
COMSOC I & II (essential)
SAMTRAC (essential)
Experience:
3 years’ relevant experience as a Safety Officer in Mining / Process / Engineering, which should include developing, implementing, managing and auditing of SHE and risk control initiatives and programmes
Skills:
Presentation / Facilitation / Training
