Programme Requirements
Grade 12 as a minimum qualification. Child and Youth Care Work Qualification
Registration with South African Council for Social Service Professions
Must be unemployed
From 18 to the age of 34 years
Persons with disabilities will be required to provide a medical certificate confirming the nature of the disability
South African Citizens in possession of a valid South African ID will be considered
Applicants must not be registered or involved in other experential learning programmes for the duration of the YES programme
Applicants must not have previously registered and completed a YES programme

Ability to work well as part of a team
Have strong family and other support systems
The following will be advantageous:
Experience in HIV/AIDS and TB programs
Experience in community child and youth care work
Being trained in Vhutshilo 1, 2 and 3, KidzAlive
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Report Writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Effective organization and administration skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong sense of compassion and empathy.
Intuition and decision making.
