Job Description
The Security team will provide a space where young people engage with each other and our leadership team, through peer-to-peer, conversation and experiential coaching and mentoring to support the development of critical skills needed for the Bank. Key Responsibilities
Adhere to and implement the relevant technology standards developed by the wider IT Function.
Adhere to Group minimum standards for vendor selection and participate in the selection of the most appropriate vendor with
required expertise.
Automate repeatable tasks, by building technical control capabilities and maturing their operational effectiveness.
Build and develop relationships across the different internal IT teams and with various stakeholders so that the business unit
remains involved and aware of internal developments.
Consider various attack scenarios and identify appropriate controls, by working with architects and software engineers to specify
how information security technologies should be implemented.
Continually review system operations, updating and amending processes and products to mitigate risks as identified and
discovered to minimise future incidents.
Contribute inputs to the setting of reliable and realistic targets and budgets.
Design, implement and operate proactive monitoring and maintenance support activities to ensure confidentiality, integrity and
availability of services and underlying platforms to minimise information security incidents in accordance with the organisations
risk appetite.
Develop detailed information security designs, incorporating single or already integrated systems, considering the client’s
expectations and deadlines, ensuring that designs are practical and align to architectural requirements, escalating any concerns
to a more senior team member.
Engage, consult and influence working groups and business areas to understand the required client process for easily accessible
and simple processes, that require the design and operation of single or already integrated systems, support the client in all
related information security processes and products and plan accordingly.

Minimise the spend on Information Security where possible, exercising financial prudence.
Participate in post incident analysis, identify control weaknesses and include remediations in planning and scoping activities,
requesting support from more senior team members when required.
Prototype and pilot proposed information security solutions or capabilities to identify viability of new developments.
Provide ad-hoc advice, assistance and mentoring to team mates so that their developmental needs are identified and met.
Qualifications
You have completed or are completing the following Degree(s) in 2024:
BSC IT or ENG degree with a strong programming and networking back ground at least
South African Citizen
Maximum of two years’ work experience
Minimum of 60% average over all years of study
