Vodafone Is Hiring: Sales Manager – Bloemfontein

Role purpose:

Responsible for Leadership, ensuring profitable Margin levels, Direct Account Relationship and Team Motivation of a Strategic Functional Area within the Sales team. The Sales Manager ensures and drives the penetration of the Accounts and their strategic development. This includes upselling strategies to provide the widest possible range of products and solutions set from Vodacom’s portfolio as well as appropriate churn prevention strategies to ensure that their Accounts remain Vodacom customers. Drive profitable revenue contribution and increased market share from integrated products, services and mobile solution offerings.

Your responsibilities will include:

Impact on the business: Achieves the set financial targets with specific reference to Total Contract value & gross margin for the allocated products and solution set, market share, net margin contribution and Net Promoter Score
Strategic sales management: Prepares a detailed sales strategy outlining the sales account plans, forecasts and pipeline management
Leadership and teamwork: Work together with AM’s & SAMs to develop action plans to ensure account strategies are executed upon
Communication: Accountable for C-level engagement strategy to support the account teams.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Technical / professional qualifications:

Matric with a minimum 10 years’ experience in Strategic Account Management dealing with National Customer Accounts.A 3 year commercial (B. Com/Business Science, IT) Degree or Equivalent qualification with 8yrs experience

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
Understanding of the Value Chain Analysis with regards to various customer businesses.
Understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate it as viable appealing market offerings
Understanding of business landscape with specific reference to the target market
Account Management /Business Development of which 2 years should be in management role / global accounts/enterprise solution selling within multi-national companies (in at least one of the following areas – communications service provider, technology, financial, pharmaceutical, professional service sectors)
