Job Purpose

To perform tasks/activities associated with the transportation of material/equipment and personnel, and the collection and distribution of mail and other documentation to/from work sites and attending to the recording/processing and/or updating of information

Key Responsibility Areas

Receives work details and/or communicates with the departmental personnel to establish details of tasks.

Inspects safety devices, controls, lubricant levels etc on vehicles and reports defects to the Superintendent.

Observes and/or participates in the loading/offloading and issuing sequences of material and equipment and corrects deviations from safety procedures.

Transports staff, equipment and materials to/from specific locations.

Collects/delivers mail correspondences and documentation to/from the Regional Offices and depots.

Completes internal transactional documentation and related forms

Essential Requirements
Appropriate level of primary education Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B).

1 Month relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements
Appropriate level of secondary education.

3 Months relevant experience.
