FAIS Ombud Is Recruiting: Graduate Programme Intake 2023/24 – South Africa

The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) is established in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (the FAIS Act). Its objective is to consider and dispose of complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, economical and expeditious manner and by reference to what is equitable in all circumstances. The FAIS offices are located in the east of Pretoria in Gauteng.

In order to discharge its mandate, the FAIS Ombud seeks to appoint Graduate Trainees as part of the Graduate Recruitment Programme. This is a structured programme specifically designed to produce a pipeline of competent trainee entrants to the labour market.

Number of Graduates – X2 (Two)

Duration – The duration of the programme is twelve (12) months.

Roll out of the Programme: Recommended candidates will be given an opportunity to learn under a dedicated mentor. Graduates will be assigned to the Human Resources Department and exposed to various competency-based training during the duration of the twelve-month programme.

Requirements for application

South African citizen with a valid South African Identity document.
Human Resources Management Diploma (NQF6) or Degree (NQF7).
Passion for public service and an interest/desire to work in the Financial Sector.
Strong academic background and high levels of integrity.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment, willingness to learn and work extra hours.
Energetic, self-driven and deadline driven.
Must be computer literate.
