Main Purpose:

To ensure that all boilermaking activities are performed in accordance to the drawings and specifications and under safe working conditions.

Key Performance Areas:

Calculate cutting lengths, hole and bolt sizes from drawings.
Calculate elevations and coordinates from drawings.
Identify different structural steel objects e.g. beams, angle iron, channels, plots, etc.
Operate different types of drilling machines.
Work from drawings to different reference drawings.
Perform work of high quality within specified time schedules.

Preferred Requirements:

Matric/N3.Qualified Boilermaker.3 Years’ related experience in the manufacturing of expansion joints or any thick gauge carbon steel fabrication type work.Knowledge of Manufacturing codes and ISO standards.Read and interpret engineering drawings.Read and interpret isometric drawings will be advantageous.Good understanding of safety and procedure.
