Job Description
RCL FOODS is seeking an Electrician to join our Groceries Division. The role will be based in Centurion and report to the Shift Artisan. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to maintain the site’s machines in order to obtain their optimum efficiencies and ensure that all planned maintenance work is done according to the schedules.
Minimum Requirements
Passed trade test with a minimum of 3 years experience after passing trade.
Wireman’s license will be an advantage for passing Sans 10142 codes.
Knowledge of PLC and VSD drives.
Experience with panel wiring.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Report writing and analysis on job cards.
Mentoring apprentices.
Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby.
Driver’s license with own transport.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run smoothly, systems operate efficiently.Inspect and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.Being able to comply with Food safety standards, and having previous FMCG experience will be an advantage.Assemble, install, and/or repair equipment.Ensure your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements and electrical regulations.Diagnose and correct electrical problems.Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.Direct and train workers to install, and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment.Record maintenance and repair work performed.Take ownership of machines
