Job Context

Servest Catering ,a division of the Servest Group has an excellent opportunity for a driver to join their busy team.This is for one of the sites in the Johannesburg Northern Suburbs .The incumbent will be responsible for delivering and or transportation of goods in a timely, productive, and professional manner.

Minimum Requirements

Must be proficient in English language

PresentableEffective engagement with customers, management and staffTrustworthy and honestTime management Special conditions of employment:Willing and able to work overtime/after hours when required & on short noticeAssist in kitchen when there are no deliveries

Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to

Valid driver’s licenceReliable transport and/or reside in close proximity to workplaceClear credit and criminal recordsDuties & ResponsibilitiesSafely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner

Be open to learning and adhere to the various dispatch functionsEnsure the correct products are delivered to the correct customer within the specified timeComply with minimum standards of efficiency and accuracy, in order to meet company standardsFollow delivery/pickup instructions from managerComply with the company vehicle policy at all timesComplete and maintain an accurate vehicle logbook

Ensure that the vehicle is never unattended during the delivery processEnsure the vehicle is clean and washed once a weekInspect the vehicle for any defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips; and report any concerns to the manager

Report on all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment

Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations as per the National Road Traffic Act Be responsible for any traffic fines allocated to the vehicle you driveCreate effective and efficient relationships with internal and external customers to improve operating efficiencies
