The Planning Officer will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance related activities in the Mill as required by the TH Business Process flows.

Roles and Responsibilities

Creates and maintains Maintenance Schedules.

Writing of clear and concise work procedures. Compiling information into Job packages for skilled trade.

Resources work within defined Work Management principles and standards. 

Keeping Bills of Materials current.

Maintains appropriate records to permit the meaningful analysis and reporting of results and compiles reports from CMMS regarding the work.

Execution management process as required for reporting to various tiers in the organisation.

Measuring the maintenance backlog accurately in its various forms and continually maintaining not less than 2 weeks’ worth of ready backlog.

Participating in outage and shutdown planning activities including Scope Identification and Control, Work Co-ordination, Risk Assessments, Work Execution, and continuous improvement.

Liaise on a regular basis with internal & external stakeholders i.e. service providers, etc. 

Promote team building and a harmonious working environment.

Application of Health, Safety & Environmental standards

Attend to queries and enquiries related to activities and operations

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Required 

Engineering qualification N6 or higher and / or equivalent planning certificate.  

Minimum 3 years in skilled trades and 2 years as a supervisor. Strong Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation aptitude. Minimum 3 years work experience with EAM/CMMS. Significant SAP experience is essential.

Computer skills. Proper use of the SAP EAM tool (CMMS). Advanced skills in Excel and Word. 

Project Management, Software (MS Projects, Primavera, Outlook, OneNote, etc.) Knowledge and understanding of Work Management principle and maintenance processes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprint, OEM manuals and drawings
