The role:
Supervise a team of people within the relevant section by ensuring safe and cost-effective production at an operational team level.
The duties will include but are not limited to:

Execute the production and/or logistics activities according to the schedule
Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operation’s standards and operating procedures
Ensure compliance to the 1SAP Work Management process for work execution and capture related transactional data in the 1SAP systems
Adhere to defined standard procedures and apply safe work practices
Review and update plans, equipment history and communicate status to appropriate parties
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards
You will need:
Grade 12 Maths, Science English or equivalent
OC Rock Breaking/Blasting qualification
Programme in Technical and Operational Surface Mining Excellence
Further Education and Training Certificate in Mining Operations (NQF Level 4)
Minimum 2 years appointed as a Non-Section Miner/Blasting Assistant
In-depth knowledge of mining methods, mining and environmental legislation
Computer literacy in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel etc.)
Valid driver’s license and own transport is essential
Be in possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
Advantageous:
Degree / National Diploma in Mining Engineering
A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
