Stores Assistant Wanted: Deltamune -Roodeplaat,South Africa

POSITION PURPOSE
The role of the Stores Assistant is to be a team player in the Deltamune Supply Chain. The individual mainly works on the forefront of the Stores, responsible for the issuing and receiving of stock.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Placing of orders with external suppliers to ensure stock levels are optimum to company requirements.
Picking and packing of orders for internal clients, as well as issuing of stock on the accounting system.
Receiving of all stock, checking received stock in accordance with purchase orders, physical stock and invoice from supplier.
Compliance with the company’s Quality System, brand, methodology.
Periodic Reporting as required.
Adhere to the delegation of authority as per company policy.
Undertake all activities as per the required standards, policies and procedures.
General Housekeeping.

SPECIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric or equivalent.
Qualification in supply chain or warehouse management will be advantageous. Alternatively, a formal qualification in stock control or accounting will serve as an advantage.
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years’ experience in a stock control environment.
Knowledge of ACCPAC will be advantageous.
MS Office applications.

SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES / COMPETENCIES:
Alignment with Deltamune’s values.
Must give attention to detail.
Numeracy, Literacy and Accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively at different levels.
A valid Forklift Licence will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently, in accordance with polices and procedures.
Highly organised.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Able to work flexi-hours and overtime (including weekends and public holidays)
