Job Description

The successful candidate will provide a reliable and courteous transportation service to our staff and participants with safety as a top priority. The Driver Coordinator will be a communication link between participants and staff, supervise the drivers and ensure that the company vehicles are well maintained.

Key duties and responsibilities

Provide Transportation

Transport Anova Staff to their workstations including meetings and Trainings.Collect mail from post office and various pick-up points.Ensure that drivers keep records of kilometres travelled and manage site visits – logbook.Allocate drivers trips according to program schedules.Vehicle Maintenance

Report vehicle accident or damage immediately to fleet and office manager.

Ensure that the vehicles are kept clean by the drivers.Liaise with drivers regarding regular service and maintenance of the vehicles (i.e., tyres, brake pads, etc.) and that it meets general safety requirements.Coordinate vehicle service bookings.Ensure the drivers report any problems encountered on the vehicles and attend to them.Ensure that all the vehicles are serviced and road worthy.Coordinate and Supervise Drivers

Plan and allocate vehicles trip on a daily/weekly basis

Plan and maintain annual calendar or schedule for drivers.Plan and coordinate driver trainings schedules.Keep records of valid driver’s licenses (PDP) and remind of renewals.Keep records of driver logbooks.Assist with performance reviews of drivers.Ensure that drivers timesheets are signed of submitted monthly to payroll.Reporting

Compile weekly report and send to office manager.

Consolidate weekly reports and send to Fleet manager.Provide incident ,overtime, and traffic fines reports.Essential qualifications, experience and skills required:

Post Matric Qualification in Logistics or Transport Management or an equivalent qualification.

2 Years previous experience in Supervising drivers.3 Years driving experience.Code 10 Drivers license with PrDPExcellent customer services skills.Excellent Communication skills and local language ability.Defensive Driving Course.Resilient to change.Willing travel as and when required.
