Cashier Job Responsibilities and Duties.

Ensure swift, accurate andfriendly purchase experience for store customers.

Operate retail store product checkout equipment accurately (e.g ., cash registers, credit/debit card terminals, scanners.)

Collect payments and help with bagging purchases.

Processes return transactions.

Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.

Maintain accurate count of cash receipts.

Balance cash register and provide appropriate transaction reports. Answering phones if needed.

Keep checkout areas and workspace clean to ensure efficient processing.

Training new cashiers.

Helping fellow cashiers solve problems.

Reporting Relationships

Store Owners, Manager & Counter Supervisor.
