Job Advert Summary
To drive the Pick n Pay brand presence on the social channels including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Tik Tok, by effectively engaging with customers on all of the channels.
This role includes strategy and content production of posts for the Pick and Pay, QualiSave social media channels, and community relationship management which is centred on resolving customer queries and issues
Minimum Requirements
Relevant Diploma or similar qualification (preferable).
5-7 years experience in a social media management role.
Retail experience would be preferable.
PC Proficient (MS WORD, MS POWERPOINT, INTERNET, EMAIL)
Marketing experience would be preferable.
Video creation experience a plus.
Social listening tools experience essential.
Social analytics tools experience essential.
Social Reporting experience essential.
In-depth understanding of digital marketing best practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
Social media strategy – develop and maintain social media strategy for Pick n Pay.
Managing the social media team
Oversee all social media content for Pick n Pay channels
Content production – Producing, maintaining and managing content production for all Pick n Pay social channels
Content Scheduling – Content scheduling and calendar management
Community Management – Actively engage and manage Pick n Pay community on all social channels in collaboration with the customer service team. Resolve and manage social media customer issues
Campaign management – Manage social paid media campaigns by liaising with the paid media team
Budget management for social channels
Reporting and analysis of social media channel activity
Social media sentiment monitoring and escalation
Social media coverage of events etc.
Admin associated with social media department channels
Monitor competitors in the social space
