Business Overview

This is a busy, fast paced operation which offers many challenges and opportunities for the right person. This position is based at Boksburg, Gauteng.

Job Purpose:

To plan, co-ordinate, manage and report upon the work activities of the team providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development. To direct, co-ordinate and plan the operation through effective scheduling of orders, planning of all  loads. Ensure that all contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. To work in conjunction with the Supervisors to monitor, develop and allocate work to ensure that plan is executed as per KPI.

 Key Accountabilities

Honesty – pride in his job and an eye for detail

Compiling the plan and priority list for warehouse picking

Clear understanding of the clients requirements

Closing of loads to avoid missed deadlines

Release loads from Pride to WMOS for picking

Housekeeping of the highest standard

Updating spreadsheet (Tracker) for client visibility on loads

Loading of additional orders on the plan (Ad ons)

To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise

Communicate to various stakeholders inside the warehouse to ensure smooth flow of trucks  

                  

Compiling monthly reports regarding loads

To assist with the induction of new employees

Perform administrative tasks in line with SOP

Qualifications

Martic / Grade 12

1 – 2 years Logistics / Warehousing experience

Skills/Competencies/Experiences

Computer literacy

Communication skills

Ability  to work within a rapidly changing environment  

Deadline driven

Good written and communication skills

experience 

Enforcement of Health & Safety procedures and identify hazards

Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles / responsibilities

under pressure

Language

·        English – Verbal and Written
