Summary of the role: To ensure that all AMC Standards are complied with when driving vehicles. To minimizethe standing time and maintain equipment in addition to other duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Carrying out daily vehicle operational checks and ensuring vehicle is mine compliant.

Collecting and Delivering packages to customers or suppliers in a timely manner.

Interacting with suppliers and clients in professional conduct at all times, driver must always be neat and presentable whiles on duty.

Maintaining an organised daily travel schedule accordingly.

To renew personal driver’s license and PDP ahead of time when required.

Adhere to all safety requirementson andoff siteat all times.

Ensure that all vehicles are operated in a good working order and deviationsare reported asap.

Use vehicles in accordance with their design and the intention for which they weredesigned, having dueregard to safety and health.

Ensure that vehicles are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Ensure that all traffic rules and guidelines are observed and that goods are safely secured before driving off.

Follow all safe work instructions and instructions from your supervisor.

Ensure all passengers are wearing a safety belt before driving off.

Ad-hoc duties and overtime is required from time to time. Adapt to possible shift change on short notice.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 10.

Valid Code 10 Driver’s licence.

Valid PDP.

Previous Bus Driving experience essential.

Familiar with mine rules and regulations.

Good communication skills (written and oral).   Ability to work in a team.
