Midvaal Local Municipality Is Hiring : Senior Clerk (Salary – R 246 336. 00 p.a – R 281 388. 00 p.a)

REQUIREMENTS

-Grade 12. – National Diploma in Logistics, Public Administration, and Relevant Qualifications will be an added advantage. – Computer literacy Certificate. – Valid Driver’s License. – Computer literacy (MS Word, excel and PowerPoint). – Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. – Secretarial and administration skills. – Strong work ethic. -Adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing and typing skills, attention to detail, strong understanding of the motor vehicle industry. – 02 to 03 years relevant experience in Fleet Management/Transportation within Local Government Authority.

DUTIES

-Handles all external and internal queries regarding council vehicle booked through internal procurement process and external procurement processes. – Ensures that all tasks delegated by the executive director Public Safety & Roads and Fleet Coordinator are done effectively and efficiently as deemed fit are promptly attended to as requested. – Undertaking routine correspondence duties by drafting replies and follow-ups where necessary in relation to council’s fleet. – Compiling a consolidated vehicle maintenance reports for both internal and external process with data received from both Fleet Admin & Mechanical Workshop Admin. – Receive and prepare billing pack invoice for the Fleet Coordinator for monthly invoice payment of vehicles repaired and serviced externally. – Handle, compile and register all motor vehicle accidents and windscreen claims for all council vehicles and give report to both fleet Coordinator. – Responsible to all sectional Fleet status reports effectively and efficiently by giving precise data regarding their vehicle being repaired internally or externally. – Performing fast and accurate typing duties for the Fleet Coordinator by utilizing a word processor or personal computer. – Directs and controls telephone calls relating to complaints and Service requests by performing the necessary screening and redirecting calls where appropriate to ensure the correct people receive the calls pertaining to enquiries. – Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

SALARY  R 246 336. 00 p.a – R 281 388. 00 p.a ( Level 8 of a Grade 08 Local Authority)

                             Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 396 667. 92 p.a
