The following vacancy exists at Viking Fishing South Arm

     COLD STORE OFFICE CLERK – PERMANENT POSITION

    REPORTING TO THE OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE: To provide efficient administrative support service to the Cold Store Department.                                     Provide support by completion of all relevant documentation for the Cold Store                Department

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide efficient administrative support service to the Cold Store Department.

Provide support by completion of all relevant documentation for the Cold Store Department

To support the day – to – day functions in the scheduling of outbound and inbound products.

To complete all reasonable tasks assigned.

To administrate production data, reports and recording systems.

Compile Job Costing batches on Excel for Cold Store employees.

Escalate information to HR, Payroll, Dispatch, Timekeepers, Training Department and Managers/Supervisors.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Matric with previous experience working in a Cold Store Fishing environment is preferable.

3-5 years relevant experience in Warehousing and Administration.

Basic arithmetic, good organisation skills with attention to detail

Accurate data capturing.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines – time management is essential.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Must be able to work without supervision and under pressure.

Must be able to multi-task and have operational skills.

Must be able to work long hours, working overtime and weekends when needed.

Must be punctual and reliable.

Work well in a team and follow instructions.
