Role Purpose

Provide a reliable and professional delivery and collection service to internal and external clients.


A National Senior Certificate is essential

It’s essential to be in possession of a valid driving licence and professional driving permit (PDP)

1-2 Years’ relevant work experience is essential

2 Years’ driving experience is essential

Willing to work flexible working hours based on project requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

Internal Process

Plan and schedule deliveries/collections with relevant clients according to business requirements.

Load, transport and deliver/collect items to/from the correct clients within agreed timeframes. 

Maintain an accurate daily record of deliveries/collections and kilometres travelled.

Adhere to traffic rules to avoid traffic fines and accidents.

Perform daily vehicle safety checks and ensure the vehicle is neat, clean and presentable.

Oversee checklists of vehicles used by other staff and alert manager when various vehicles need to be booked for services and/or advise when tyres need to be replaced on the various vehicles. 

Ensure that all logbooks are completed and maintained.

Ensure that all vehicles are maintained according to the maintenance and service plan.

Report any issues to the manager.

Do minor maintenance on equipment/furniture.

Keep storerooms in a neat condition.

Do office admin where and when necessary (scanning of files, shredding etc).

Client Service

Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.

Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.

Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that client expectations are managed.

Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.

Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.


Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.

Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.

Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.

Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.
