Purpose Statement
To provide Capitec Bank and the Board of Directors with guidance and services in relation to their duties, responsibilities, and powers and also any laws relevant to, or affecting, the company.
Administer shareholder matters, meetings and communication in line with the requirements of the Companies Act
Facilitate compliance with the requirements of the Companies Act.
Facilitate compliance with generally accepted corporate governance practices
Experience
Minimum:
At least 5 years’ experience in managing a company secretarial function in a listed company
Ideal:
Previous experience in managing a team within a similar environment
Proven experience within company secretarial function within a banking environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
A relevant degree
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
A relevant post graduate degree in Finance or Law
Registered as a Chartered Secretary with Institute for Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA)
Knowledge
Minimum:
Detailed knowledge of the Companies Act, Banks Act, and JSE listings requirements and market accepted corporate governance principles
