BMW Group South Africa Is Hiring: Specialist – Digital Marketing

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the development, implementation, tracking and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across all digital and other channels, including social media. Responsible for all Financial Services digital customer-related channels

Key Repsonsibilities

Project Management:

Development and implementation of digital and other Marketing and Communication plans, aligned with BMW SA and Financial Services overall Marketing Plan.

Plan and execute all web, app, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.

Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals. Identify trends and insights and optimize spend.

Regularly review digital and other marketing strategy; develop new tools and initiatives that are designed to further maximize sales and marketing objectives.

Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary Marketing and Communications team to communicate, coordinate, and integrate digital and other Marketing and Communications, and apply best-in-class practices to all efforts.

Collaborate with Marketing and IT colleagues globally and locally, NSC, business lines and dealer network to optimize end to end customer experience online.

Investigate and evaluate digital and other communication opportunities and emerging technologies, internally, externally and globally, to promote the brand and increase brand exposure.

Writing, editing and communication of creative briefs, proposals, project recommendations, presentations, promotional digital content, letters and newsletters etc. for digital and other where required.

Writing, editing and communicating of internal notices/ communication and managing of the Financial Services intranet page & LinkedIn page

Ensure that all locally developed creative marketing materials undergo stringent review and adhere to strict brand guidelines.

Develop opportunities to add additional value to BMW Group initiatives through digital and social media marketing, etc.

Support, guide and approve dealer networks digital marketing initiatives and media plans with regards to Financial Services products.

Provide assistance and marketing updates to regional managers to communicate digital marketing initiatives to the dealer networks.

Provide support on digital communication for the incentive program

Ensure that webpages, digital sales platform and configurator display the correct Financial Services information and offers

Monitoring:

Participate and present in stakeholder meetings to inform on digital marketing activities, initiatives, and tools.

Monitor all processes and implement improvements to enhance marketing productivity.

Ensure stringent sign off processes are adhered to for all campaigns. (Legal and CI)

Work closely with stakeholders to ensure communication deadlines are met.

Ensure brand standards, brand separation, templates, email signatures, fonts, all internal and external communications, dress code are adhered to.

Coaching and Training:

Steering and coordination of all departments and agencies regarding implementation of digital and other marketing innovations.

Disseminate information throughout the organization, including internal education and training when appropriate.

Provide support to guide dealer staff to improve BMW Group Financial Services Brand’s online and other presence.

Process Improvement:

Work with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the BMW Group Financial Services Brand and its product offering, ultimately driving customer interest and sales.

Outline workflow processes to increase the efficiency of the marketing department.

Investigate and stay abreast of all digital communication medium technologies to ensure the brand is progressive.

Reporting:

Produce, present and distribute digital & other marketing and media analytics reports as required.

Analyze marketing and competitive data and consolidates findings to support local and national marketing strategy development.

Provides feedback and best practices to the Marketing support team on a consistent basis.

Engage with internal business partners and marketing colleagues to develop through the line national/regional campaigns.

Brief and co-ordinate agencies or internal developers on creative direction and campaigns output.

Liaise with support functions such as Operations, Compliance and Legal, Process & Quality to ensure alignment

SAP CRM, Focus Pro, NSP, DSP, Dealernet, Internet, Intranet, Bulk Communication internal system, Adobe Pro, E-mail Legislation within ZA, such as Protection of Personal Information Act, limits the interactions one can have with customers.

Alignment with the Business Strategy can prove to be difficult due to limited budget, etc.

Internal Control systems (ICS) – adherence to controls; focus on regular monitoring of controls and on testing of controls effectiveness (e.g. performing monthly spot-checks and/or reviewing exception reports); conduct annual process & control review (incl. review/update of process maps / flows and relevant regulations / work instructions); active contribution to detect and mitigate process gaps.

Drive automation / efficiencies / process optimization across all processes.

Execute any other task that management may necessitate in reaction to unexpected changes to our environment, greater business needs or to mitigate the vulnerability of the BMW Groups reputation or potential financial loss.

Education Background/Professional Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor Degree in Marketing or a related field

5 to 7 Years’ experience in a similar role

Working experience in digital marketing

Excellent Management skills.

Exceptional written and communication skills.

A thorough understanding of the entire Marketing Mix, with experience in leading and managingvcSEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.

Maintenance of websites and app content

In-depth knowledge of digital media and social media marketing trends. Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and measurement

Knowledge of the materials and tools used in digital marketing, digital advertising and digital media planning and SEO. Knowledge of the methods and techniques used to prepare digital and social media advertising campaigns.

Strong analytical, data-driven thinking and decision-making skills.

Multi-tasking abilities.

Knowledge of budget management
