Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Minumum Qualifications

Grade 12

Experience and Knowledge required

Min 1-2 years’ experience in Burials / Funeral Services and Planning.

Skills required for the position:

Sales Experience:Previous experience in sales, preferably in a field-based role, is essential.

Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective client interactions.

Self-Motivated:As a field-based agent for Memorials, you’ll need to be self-driven and proactive.

Negotiation Skills:Ability to negotiate terms and close deals successfully.

Valid Driver’s License:You’ll be traveling to meet clients, so a valid driver’s license is advantages.

Knowledge of Memorial Parks:While not mandatory, familiarity with memorial parks, cemeteries or related industries is advantageous.

Role and Responsibilities:

Sales Generation:

Proactively identify potential clients interested in memorial sites.

Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to present the benefits of our memorial services.

Utilize persuasive communication skills to close sales and achieve targets.

Client Relationship Management:

Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.

Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.

New Business Acquisition:

Research and identify potential leads within the assigned territory.

Develop a pipeline of prospects through networking, referrals, and cold calling.

Arrange site visits and presentations to showcase the unique features of our memorial sites.

Market Research and Insights:

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.

Adapt sales strategies based on changing market conditions.

Administrative Tasks:

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress.

Prepare and submit necessary paperwork related to sales transactions.
