WEIR MINERALS Is Hiring: Maintenance Supervisor – South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First:

Supervisory:

Supervise electrical and mechanical maintenance function so as to achieve maximum utilization and production output and to minimize downtime and production loss.
Ensure that the Maintenance Department personnel are utilized at maximum efficiency through correct work load schedules.
Production:

Repairs and maintenance to all plant and machinery within the facility confines.
Repair and maintenance to all cranes and hoist facilities relevant to production requirements
Ensure that all scheduled preventative maintenance is adhered to.
Ensure all data relative to machine downtime costs and equipment are accurately reflected and recorded.
Procurement:

Complete purchasing requisitions and arrange for order placement, through Purchasing Department, of related materials and equipment relevant to maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Production Manager with the view to optimise cost and delivery.
Drawings:

The ability to understand and interpret all engineering machine drawings in the execution of maintenance duties
Be able to compile and draw any relevant sketches or designs necessary regarding maintenance functions
