Purpose of the Job

To ensure the smooth operation of in-store retail operations, we are seeking a customer-focused, hard-working pharmacy sales assistant. Responsibilities of the pharmacy sales assistant include greeting customers, monitoring customer activity to prevent shoplifting, arranging visual displays, processing customer refunds, etc. You should also be able to identify customers’ needs and suggest products that will best meet those needs.

Qualifications
Essential:

Grade 12 qualification
Experience
Essential:

At least 5 months point of sale / till point experience within a retail environment.Proven retail sales experience.Knowledge and Skills

Computer literate

Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English

Engaging and friendly personalityKnowledgeable of payment procedures (e.g. cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers)Knowledgeable of stock receiving procedures and merchandising standardsSolid understanding of customer service principlesThe ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills
