Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Planner responsible for maintaining, planning and scheduling systems in the engineering, construction and procurement departments of an organisation. Prepares objectives schedule, master project schedule, manpower schedule, et cetera. Monitors progress of project against plan and keeps man-hour reports. Reports deviations and recommends corrective action to management.
Minimum Requirements
Minumuim qualification: Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
Experience in a similar role: Up to 3 years experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Supply information to Unitrans customer services representative and management regarding sales orders and order status
Work constructively within the organisation, with customers and service providers to resolve problems
Log errors and track these to resolve timeously.
Route and schedule loads within agreed customer SLA.
Investigate problems orders and provide status updates on WMS/TMS and FLO/PLATO
Geo-code new customers on FLO/PLATO using correct geographical placement to ensure data integrity
Determine the load volume and tonnage to enable maximum utilization.
Carry out case studies when new products are introduced or load configurations changes
Report writing
To be involved or lead implementation programmes
