Finance Controlling Trainee/Intern: FAURECIA – South Africa

Contract: 12 months contract as part of our Graduate program for South African Graduates

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The R&D Finance Trainee/Intern is responsible for assisting in the controlling of the financial aspects for one or several programs (depending on their size and complexity) in order to monitor, assess and support the optimization of the program’s profitability and cash.

As a R&D Finance Trainee/Intern, your main responsibilities are as follow:

Maintain and monitor business plans within the acquisition phase
Take special tasks in development programs
Collaborate as a controller in the serial follow up of different program
Provide reliable financial / controlling information
Preparation of monthly KPI dashboard
Participate in financial forecasting processes, providing data for budget, periodic forecast etc.
Collect and manage data consolidation and reporting, ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency and compliance
Update information into the ERP System
Contribute to controlling analysis including variance analysis/standard costs, margin/programs, program budgetary control
Collaborate with Shared Service Center obtaining/providing proper finance information
Contribute to the control and management of the programs’ operating cashflow (capex, inventories, overdues)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

The ideal graduate will have/be:

Costing/Finance degree/ diploma
Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems
Solid accounting knowledge
Strong teamwork
Strong Excel
Languages: Good communication skills
