Bidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for a Training Instructor. This opportunity exists within the Training Department, based in Isando, reporting to the Training Supervisor. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria.
Minimum Criteria:

• Matric
• National Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Certificate in Chemical Operations NQF 4 – advantages
• National Diploma in OD ETDP/NQF 5 Higher Certificate in OD ETDP — advantageous
• Train the Trainer/ Training Facilitator Certificate
• Assessor Certification
• 3 years Training/Supervisory/Technical experience
• 2 years’ experience in Gas/Chemical Plant Operations/handling Of bulk Chemicals and Tank Farms
Must have practical technical ability
• Thorough understanding Of BTT operations
• Good working knowledge Of computer systems: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
• Experience Of working with a Learner Management System — advantageous
Main purpose of the job:
• The incumbent in this position will ensure that all training is delivered within the framework Of BTT Policy, Procedures and Work instructions, including the ISO 9001 :2008, ISO 14001 :2014 and IS045001:2008 systems This incumbent will also be responsible for theoretical and on the job (site) training and will ensure individuals are made competent in terms Of their Job Descriptions, and Training Needs Analysis
The successful candidate will engage in the following activities:
Conduct Training Needs Analysis
Compile, communicate and coordinate the implementation Of Training Plans
• Ensure candidates that are chosen for training, are well trained according to Training Matrix
• Ensure all Visitors, Contractors, Transporters, Stakeholders are inducted before entering Sites
• Ensure candidates are trained in accordance to the Company’s systems procedures
• Test candidates for competence in their theory / Practical training
• On the job training records to be regularly updated
• Prepares training facilities and equipment and strictly controls resource Ensures training registers and plans are up to date
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
• Ability to train and develop a person on any Of the sites
Thorough knowledge Of all sites, including all aspects Of Safety, Health, Environment and Fire systems OHS Act knowledge, ISO Systems, SETAS

• Good organization skills of setting up and acting out training plans
