Senior Clerk: Clearance Job Vacancy At Midvaal Local Municipality

REQUIREMENTS

-Grade 12. – National Diploma or equivalent qualification in financial management, accounting. – Code 08 (EB) driver’s licence. – Computer Literate (Solar, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). – Good telephone etiquette. – Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. – Skills & competencies associated with vocation: adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership skills, conflict & stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office/diary management skills, strong administrative skills, writing & typing skills. – Keep updated on contents of legislation and policies. – Maintain a high standard of work output. – 2-3 year’s relevant experience in finance within Local Government or similar pressurised environment.

DUTIES

-Issue clearance figures. – Transfer of property ownership. – Refunding of credit after property transfer. – Administration and general enquiries: – Filing documentation. Handling of telephone and written queries relating to clearances. Answering and referring queries. Attend to walk in clients. – Verify and allocate payments received from attorneys for clearance certificates, to ensure the correct payment is done for the correct account. – Perform any other related Ad Hoc task and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.

SALARY        R 246 336.00 – R 281 388.00 p.a.  (Level 08 of a Grade 8 Local Authority)

                                                     Total package inclusive of all benefits: R 396 667.92 p.a.
