PURPOSE OF POSITION

The overall purpose of an Operator is to effectively operate the designated machine / equipment to support mining and / or hauling operations. An Operator is responsible for operating their machine in a safe manner to execute the Load and Haul plan.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Grade 10. Gr12 will be advantageous.
Valid Machine competency certificate or equivalent
Valid Driver’s Licence
Must meet the required machine specific symbol on Anglo American Dover assessment
More than one license to operate will be an advantage
2 years’ experience in a mining operational role (equipment operation)
Medically Fit
Ability to work shifts
