Reporting to Maintenance Manager, the successful incumbent will fulfill the necessary requirements within the Maintenance department to meet the company objectives by providing plant availability to ensure a facility that enables the production of vehicles of high-quality standard in a cost-effective manner.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Carry out Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic maintenance according to the schedule.
Attending daily plant OPR, Safety GG and Quality meetings.
Maintain quality standards and work in accordance with ISO standards.
Record performance data and generates breakdown reports.
Carry out breakdown countermeasures.
Prepare EOS reports and shifts handover.
Development of artisans.
Maintain high Safety, Health, and Environment standards.
Assist and lead the high-level breakdowns.
Liaise with Suppliers and Contractors.
Support relevant departments like, #PE, Engineering, Production, Quality etc.
Participate in Quality Circles and Quality activities.
Must be prepared to work Overtime and Shifts pattern.
Co-ordinating, organizing and planning preventative maintenance and Shutdown activities.
Participate in Projects, development, and Kaizen activities.
Presenting a Squad kaizen, Project work and Preventative Maintenance activities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

N5 of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification and inclusive of Millwright trade test.
National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical with preferable 3 years’ experience with experience in motor vehicle manufacturing environment.
Experience in various computer network systems and PLC literacy.
Good PLC and Robotic knowledge and experience.
Knowledge on the Occupation Health and Safety Act No.85 of 1993 required.
