Stellenbosch Municipality Is Hiring: Senior Clerk – IDP
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 • 2 – 3 years relevant experience • Valid Code 8 Driver’s license • Computer
skills (MS Office, Internet, Outlook)
Other Requirements: Typing skills • Administrative skills • Telephone handling skills • Time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure • Language proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western
Cape (Afrikaans, English, Xhosa).
Responsibilities/Duties: Arrange, coordinate and prepare related meetings, workshops etc., as delegated
• Secure and confirm venues, all equipment and arrange for tea / refreshments • Arrange and attend to all administrative
functions relating to IDP, Performance Management and Public Participation • Where required, attend
to enquiries of the public and staff on IDP, Performance Management and Public Participation • Receive and
register all incoming and outgoing mail for the Section • Send facsimile and electronic messages, scan and bind
documents and make photocopies • Send and keep record of all official registered and couriered mail • Booking
associated travel, accommodation, catering and other arrangements for the section • File documents as required
by the Manager: IDP/PMS • Liaise with the Records Section on a continuous basis on the implementation of the
Record Management Policy and record keeping on the municipality’s official filing system • Ensure that MPAC,
MayCo and Council items are loaded on the official committee management system of the Municipality • Attendance
and support such as minute and / or note taking at scheduled Section meetings • Monitor and report
to the Manager: IDP/PMS on the demand management plan of the section • Monitor and report to the Manager:
IDP/PMS on the asset register of the section • Generate order and process payments.

Salary: R 157 027.81 – R 203 848.78 Plus benefits
